Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using ArcusX ("Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
ArcusX is a decentralized freelancing platform that connects clients with workers through blockchain-based escrow smart contracts. The Platform facilitates:
Task creation and management
Worker proposals and applications
Escrow contract creation and management
Payment processing through Stellar blockchain
Communication between users
Dispute resolution
Eligibility
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use ArcusX. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Legal Capacity
You must have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Geographic Restrictions
While ArcusX is accessible globally, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
Account Registration
To use certain features, you must:
Create an account with accurate information
Maintain account security
Not share account credentials
Notify us of unauthorized access
Comply with account rules and restrictions
User Responsibilities
Accurate Information
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information
Update information when it changes
Not impersonate others
Not provide false or misleading information
Appropriate Use
You agree not to:
Use the Service for illegal purposes
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Transmit harmful or malicious code
Interfere with Platform operations
Attempt unauthorized access
Engage in fraudulent activities
Spam or harass other users
Wallet Security
You are solely responsible for:
Securing your Stellar wallet and private keys
Protecting wallet credentials
Authorizing transactions
Loss of funds due to wallet compromise
Backup and recovery of wallet
We do not store, have access to, or can recover your private keys. Loss of wallet access is permanent and irreversible.
Escrow and Payments
Escrow Contracts
Tasks use blockchain-based escrow smart contracts:
Contracts are executed automatically
Terms cannot be modified after creation
Funds are held securely in contracts
Release follows contract terms
Payment Terms
Payments are processed through Stellar blockchain
Transactions are permanent and irreversible
Processing time is typically 3-5 seconds
Platform commission (0.5%) is automatically deducted
Currency used is USDC on Stellar
Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds follow cancellation and dispute policies
Cancellation rules are explained in task details
Dispute resolution determines fund distribution
Completed and paid tasks cannot be refunded
Dispute Resolution
Dispute Process
Either party can initiate disputes:
Disputes are reviewed by administrators
Administrator decisions are final
Fund distribution follows administrator decision
Disputes are resolved through smart contracts
Limitation of Liability
ArcusX provides dispute resolution services but:
Does not guarantee outcomes
Decisions are at administrator discretion
Platform is not liable for dispute outcomes
Users accept dispute resolution process
Intellectual Property
Platform Content
All Platform content, including:
Text, graphics, logos, software
Documentation and materials
User interface and design
Are owned by ArcusX or licensors
Protected by copyright and other laws
User Content
You retain ownership of content you provide but grant ArcusX:
License to use, display, and distribute
Right to modify for Platform functionality
Permission to use in Platform operations
Restrictions
You may not:
Copy, modify, or distribute Platform content
Reverse engineer or decompile software
Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Use trademarks without permission
Platform Availability
Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
Modify or discontinue features
Change Service functionality
Update or remove content
Implement improvements
Availability
We strive for continuous availability but:
Do not guarantee uninterrupted service
May experience downtime for maintenance
Are not liable for service interruptions
Reserve right to suspend access
Blockchain Dependencies
Platform depends on:
Stellar network availability
Trustless Work service availability
Wallet provider functionality
Network connectivity
We are not responsible for third-party service failures.
Fees and Commissions
Platform Commission
Commission rate: 0.5% per transaction
Commission is automatically deducted
Rate may change with notice
Commission applies to all payments
Network Fees
Stellar network charges transaction fees
Fees are minimal (typically <$0.01)
Users pay network fees directly
Fees are not controlled by ArcusX
No Hidden Fees
All fees are clearly disclosed
Commission shown before transactions
No surprise charges
Transparent pricing
Prohibited Activities
Illegal Activities
Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:
Money laundering
Fraud or scams
Terrorist financing
Tax evasion
Any illegal activity
Platform Abuse
Prohibited behaviors include:
Creating fake accounts
Manipulating ratings or reviews
Circumventing fees or restrictions
Interfering with other users
Automated scraping or data collection
Consequences
Violations may result in:
Account suspension or termination
Loss of access to funds in process
Legal action if applicable
Reporting to authorities
Limitation of Liability
No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties:
No guarantee of availability
No warranty of merchantability
No fitness for particular purpose
No error-free operation
Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
ArcusX is not liable for indirect damages
Total liability is limited to fees paid
No liability for third-party actions
No liability for blockchain issues
Fund Security
While we implement security measures:
No guarantee against all risks
Users responsible for wallet security
Platform not liable for wallet compromise
Smart contract security is user responsibility
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ArcusX from:

Infringement of rights
Any claims arising from your actions
Termination
By You

Stop using the Service at any time
Delete your account (contact support)
Close wallet connections
By Us
We may suspend or terminate:

Effect of Termination

Account may be deleted
Funds in escrow remain accessible
Obligations survive termination
